Start With the Security Mission
Define whether the deployment must document incidents, deter trespass, verify alarms, watch a gate, protect equipment, support live intervention, cover a temporary project, or bridge the site until permanent infrastructure is ready. Identify the required views, operating hours, retention, response workflow, and expected deployment life before selecting hardware.

Continuous high-resolution streaming can consume substantial cellular data. A design may use edge recording, event-based transmission, reduced live-view profiles, local buffering, selective clip upload, remote storage, or hybrid local-and-cloud retention. The recording strategy should preserve usable evidence without assuming unlimited bandwidth.
Select the Deployment Form
Options include fixed pole systems, building-mounted remote nodes, self-contained trailers, portable towers, and hybrid extensions from an existing site. Compare wind loading, foundations or ballast, theft resistance, tamper detection, camera height, access for service, redeployment needs, lighting, audio, signage, and the risk created by the equipment itself.
Plan Analytics and Response
Define detection zones, schedules, object types, dwell rules, notification thresholds, operator review, live audio, escalation, evidence preservation, and authorized contacts. Analytics should support a written response plan; they should not create an unmanageable stream of weather, wildlife, headlights, vegetation, or routine activity alerts.
